PE Lessons

For this half term, Oak Class will have PE on Thursdays and Fridays. Please check that your child has their PE kit in school for these days. If your child has pierced ears, please support them in learning to remove these themselves and, if newly pierced, send plasters into school so we can cover the earrings up during PE sessions.

Many thanks :)

TT Rockstars!

We are currently on a big 'push' to get faster with our times tables! Please can you support your child by helping them practise their times tables using the TT Rockstars website. I will be checking online to see who has played each week and rewarding those children who are working hard with raffle tickets! Hit the Button is another website you can use to help your children with this if they'd prefer to practise one times table at a time:

As always, if you are having any technical difficulties logging on, please write me a note in your child's reading diary :)

Many thanks for your support with this.

Key Information for Oak Class:

  • Homework will be sent out on a Friday and should be returned to school by the following Wednesday.
  • Reading diaries should come to school every day. The diaries will be checked every Friday so please check that your child has (at least) 4 entries recorded to get their sticker on the reading chart!
  • Our PE lessons are on Thursday and Friday. Please can your child make sure that their PE kit is in school for these days. We advise that the children keep their PE kit in school as there will be many sports clubs running throughout the week! We will be indoors and outdoors for PE so trainers, spare socks and a warm layer to put on would be worth including in the kit. If your child wears earrings, please can these be taken out before you child comes to school if they are unable to remove them themselves.

Internet Safety

Does your child go online at home? We’ve used the following site in school to help teach our class about safe use of social media and online games.

We recommend that you spend some time on this site with your child so that you are aware of what they should be doing to stay safe and have fun whilst online.

Select the ‘cyber café’ and then choose 'enter'  after this the 'host' called Griff should be able to tell you what to do to explore the site.
