Oak

Welcome to Oak Class - Mrs Levell

Year 3

Today, Anne Macleod visited us and showed us some Roman artefacts discovered near Radcliffe!

Mrs L is SO proud of the incredible writing and artwork Oak have produced during our first few weeks of English. There are some incredibly evil villains here, if you dare lift up the flaps...!

We loved using our unique fingerprints and amazing teamwork to create our beautiful artwork!

During our 'Proud To Be...' week, teams of boys and girls had a complete a challenge but were not rewarded fairly! Here are our thoughts on gender inequality...

We worked so carefully to create our own Roman mosaics!

Testing out our Roman sun dials!

Investigation Time! What happens when we measure shadows at different times during the day?

We loved drawing each other's shadows as part of our Science work!

Oak Class are Vocabulary Ninjas!

Welcome to the Oak Class webpage! This page is a great place to see what your child has been up to in school and will be updated regularly with letters and photographs :)

Key Information for Oak Class:

  • Homework will be sent out on a Friday and should be returned to school by the following Wednesday.
  • Reading diaries should come to school every day. The diaries will be checked every Friday so please check that your child has (at least) 4 entries recorded to get their sticker on the reading chart!
  • Our PE lessons are on Thursday and Friday. Please can your child make sure that their PE kit is in school for these days. We advise that the children keep their PE kit in school as there will be many sports clubs running throughout the week! We will be indoors and outdoors for PE so trainers, spare socks and a warm layer to put on would be worth including in the kit. If your child wears earrings, please can these be taken out before you child comes to school if they are unable to remove them themselves.

Internet Safety

Does your child go online at home? We’ve used the following site in school to help teach our class about safe use of social media and online games.https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/8_10/control/chat/

We recommend that you spend some time on this site with your child so that you are aware of what they should be doing to stay safe and have fun whilst online.

Select the ‘cyber café’ and then choose 'enter'  after this the 'host' called Griff should be able to tell you what to do to explore the site.
