At Radcliffe on Trent Junior, we aim to provide a wide variety of opportunities for our learners both within and beyond the classroom.  Outside the classroom curriculum, there are ample opportunities for children to develop and grow.  We offer a variety of sports clubs and are renowned for our success in competitions.  However we also pride ourselves in striving for every child in our school to take part in an extra-curricular club.  

Lego Club

Wednesday lunchtimes the Creative Arts room.  Children are able to get creative with their friends, building and playing with Lego.  All year groups welcome

Book Club

A quiet and relaxing session for bookworms held in Miss Martin's classroom, Tuesday lunchtimes

Chess Club

Invitation only.  Monday lunchtimes. Mrs Banning, Mr Rudkin and Mr Rossington

Spanish Club

Tuesdays 3.15 - 4.00.  Ms Harris

Eco-Committee

Representatives from each class work with Mrs Knapton during Friday lunchtimes. Recent activities have included developing the nature area, identifying ways to make our school more eco-friendly and celebrating Earth Day.  

Art Club

Work with Miss Jones to develop your art skills, using collage, paint and printing.  

Outdoor Learning

Mrs Grummitt, Mr Turner and Ms Marriott are currently developing an area at the top of the school field to offer Outdoor learning. 

Sports Clubs

We run sports clubs after school every term based on the children's ideas and the seasons. Club letters are issued to children and also emailed to parents each half-term and our clubs are very popular.  To express your child's interest in a sports club please complete the letter that goes home and return it to your child's teacher. Once the deadline for expressions of interest is reached, we then text out confirmation of a place. If we have more interest than spaces then we often pick names out of the hat of to fill the club. However, we would still text you to let you know if your child has a place or not.
