Swimming at Radcliffe on Trent Juniors

Currently, children access school swimming in Year 4 attending a minimum of 8 swimming lessons at Bingham Leisure Centre during school hours.  In Year 6 children are assessed on the criteria below.  Those children who are not able to meet these standards then attend further school swimming sessions with the aim of achieving these goals

• Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
• Use a range of strokes effectively
• Perform self-rescue in different water-based situations
