Rushcliffe Pupil Parliament
The Rushcliffe Pupil Parliament is an incredible opportunity for children to work together with pupils from other schools, experience democracy for themselves and understand the principals of how parliament works. Two children from ROTJS attend meetings that are held at County Hall in the Council Chamber. They get the opportunity to present their views to Local Councillors and have their views heard on issues which are important to them. At each meeting it is established which child takes the role of ‘speaker’. They feedback and discuss the issues raised at our own School Council meetings.
